The romantic art of Fabian Perez is a nostalgic reminder of a bygone era. The Argentinean Artist uses an impressionistic style that Perez couples with an array of colors, highlights and shadows to create visually intriguing images and figures. Most of Perez's art education was learned through his Karate and eastern studies and his brief residence in Italy. Although Perez admires various schools of art including the Impressionists, he is reluctant to have his work categorized; Perez feels this limits the artist as well as the work. It is perhaps best to refer to his own description - ‘Emotionalism' - which best sums up Fabian Perez's uniquely expressive style.
A giclee (pronounced zhee-CLAY) is an individually produced, limited edition, high quality reproduction done on a special large format printer. Images are generated from high-resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks.
Giclee prints can be printed on a number of different media - watercolors can be reproduced on watercolor paper, for instance, and can be so color-true that they are virtually indistinguishable from the original. Oil paintings can be reproduced on canvas.
The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than any other means of reproduction. The colors are brighter, last longer, and are so high-resolution that they are virtually continuous in tone, rather than tiny dots.
