Gilles Archambault was born in Montreal, Canada on January 6, 1947. Archambault began his career in the advertising business illustrating over 100 book covers and creating designs for Kraft General Foods, Reader's Digest and Bristol-Myers. Archambault, in 1979, finally devoted himself entirely to his rapture for painting, first painting mostly in watercolor, later making the switch to acrylic. Archambault's realistic landscapes and streetscapes, offer the feeling of old European scenes.
