More Information: About eight years ago, a Peanuts licensee brought Pawlowski together with Schulz so the cartoonist could see some work the sculptor had done for Disney. The two hit it off immediately, and Pawlowski ended up getting a commission to design the Charles M. Schulz award for cartooning, which featured Snoopy leaning on an inkwell. "When we first had a meeting he inspired me so much that I turned out five little miniatures in a month," Pawlowski recalls. "He appreciated the detail work that I do, which inspired me to do better every time." Pawlowski went on to do 11 other pieces for Schulz. He says the true impact of the cartoonist's art on the lives of his fans may never really be known. Comes on a marble base that is 7"x7" and comes with a numbered, full-color certificate of authenticity signed by the artist and a unique, artist-designed box that is embossed and hot-gold stamped.
