Gilles Archambault
Gilles Archambault was born in Montreal, Canada on January 6, 1947. Gilles Archambault began his career in the advertising business illustrating over 100 book covers and creating designs for Kraft General Foods, Reader's Digest and Bristol-Myers. Gilles Archambault, in 1979, finally devoted himself entirely to his rapture for painting, first painting mostly in watercolor, later making the switch to acrylic. Gilles Archambault's realistic landscapes and streetscapes, offer the feeling of old European scenes. Gilles' subject matter varies from fishing boats to cowboys, landscapes and portraits. Gilles Archambault works in water colour, acrylic and oil, and is a founding member of the Societe Canadienne de l'Aquarelle (S.C.A.).
Gilles Archambault's artistic vision has been showcased in solo and group exhibitions throughout Canada, the United States, and in France.
