Mick Fleetwood Music Art: Mick Fleetwood and John McVie founded Fleetwood Mac in 1967 with McVie's then wife Christine joining in 1970. However, it wasn't until Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined the band on New Year's Eve in 1974 that they became one of the biggest bands in the world. In 1975, the new line-up released the eponymous Fleetwood Mac, which proved to be a breakthrough for the band and became a huge hit. It reached No.1 in the US, selling over 5 million copies. Among the hit singles from this album were Christine McVie's "Over My Head" and "Say You Love Me", and Stevie Nicks' "Rhiannon" and "Landslide". Regarding his visual artwork, Mick Fleetwood states, "As music has thus far defined my career...this Collection of my work, titled "Reflections," defines my thoughts through my art. I am quite proud of this presentation. The Collection is a body of over thirty works, both original pho ... (more)
Sebastian Kruger Art Music Art: Sebastian Kruger was born in Hamlin, Germany in 1963. He studied painting and graphic arts and quickly moved on to make his living as a caricaturist, illustrator, and painter. Sebastian Kruger fanatically buries himself into the life's work and ephemera of each subject so that he might channel their essence into the heady mixture of wash, pencil and impasto that are his illustrations. He leaves no stone unturned. For an illustration about Steve McQueen, Kruger referred to his own personal McQueen library. "I have a DVD collection of almost his whole works - movie books and everything," says Kruger. "So I was on the same wavelength with Steve McQueen when I painted him as Carter 'Doc' McCoy in Sam Pekinpah's The Getaway." Kruger takes all of that background information and uses his prodigious imagination to lose himself in the alternative universe of his subject." I feel sometimes lik ... (more)

Ringo Starr Music Art: "I started in the late nineties with my computer art. While I was touring it gave me something to do in all those crazy hotels you have to stay in on the road. "In its way "Pop" art is always changing-like "Pop" artists. It's a natural move of things like pop music and even Popeye the sailor man." -Ringo 2005 Ringo Starr has always been the understated Beatle but nothing could be further from the truth. He was the missing piece that catapulted them to superstar status and as John Lennon once said, "Ringo was the great Beatle." But Mr. Starr has done a lot more than The Beatles, and these artworks showcase his visual talents as never before. Starting out using acrylics and oils, Ringo was creating paintings for many years before he decided to start composing art on his computer in the late 90s. "I love modern media, it is the way I do my art now," Starr said. After his first exhibition ... (more)
Ronnie Wood Music Art: Ronnie Wood was born in Middlesex, England, into a musical and artistic family. Before beginning his musical career Wood received formal art training at Ealing College of Art in London. As Ronnie Wood's musical career with the Jeff Beck Group, the Faces and the Rolling Stones progressed, Ronnie Wood continued his painting and drawing, Wood's subjects ranging from musicians he admired, knew and sometimes played with, to family and close friends, and, of course, the self-portrait. It is as natural to find Ronnie Wood with a pencil as with a guitar, drawing portraits of contemporaries and finding inspiration from his musical influences. In America in the early 1980's Ronnie Wood produced his first prints - three woodcuts and a series of monotypes. At that time Wood was not yet an experienced printmaker so it was with great enthusiasm that he seized upon an opportunity in 1987 to send severa ... (more)
