With warmth, humor, and sensitivity, sculptor Todd Warner has been creating his imaginary world of sophisticated whimsy for over 35 years. His youth was spent skiing competitively every winter and racing around Big Bear Lake on jet skis and water skis all summer. Santa Barbara was the next stop, as Thad pursued an engineering degree at UCSB. He worked in his field for a mercifully brief time before striking out for more exciting pastures as an entrepreneur. Thad moved to Cambria, California in 1992.
Years of hard work and long hours later, his business a roaring success, Thad's ever-active mind sought new challenges. It all started with the bananas. One bright sunny morning he was sitting at breakfast and his glance fell on a bunch of bananas on the table. "That's funny," he said to himself, "it almost looks like they're dancing." Thus began his preoccupation with the secret lives of fruits and vegetables...he began haunt ... (more)

Tom Everhart prints Whimsical:
The larger-than-life paintings of Tom Everhart straddle the line between the comfortably familiar and a new way of seeing. As the only artist granted lifelong permission to use the Peanuts characters in his art, Everhart utilizes the instantly recognizable image of Snoopy to communicate a new sensibility - one that is at once accessible and exotic.
The element that originally brought Everhart to Schulz was a fascination with the "brilliant architecture of Schulz's black ink line" and it's potential for monumental shifts in tone and scale. Everhart's love of Schulz's line - and his remarkable ability to capture it with his own vivid interpretation - impressed Schulz and launched a friendship that continued until Schulz's death in 2000.
Everhart is the only fine artist educated by Schulz and granted lifelong permission by Charles Schulz to use subject matter from Schulz's Peanuts st ... (more)
